Well, it's past midnight again, and I have procrastinated (much like people my age tend to do) AGAIN. I completely forgot that I had an article due today, so I was stuck writing one. And now I have homework that I didn't do because I thought that tomorrow was going to be an odd day. And I have a game tomorrow. Fuuuuuuuu.
Oh well, I'm used to this already. I don't know if it's a bad thing or not, but I'm used to staying up late. I have discovered that there is so much to do when one is not sleeping! Sleeping is a necessity, but it can also be viewed as a waste of time and opportunity to one that is always busy or just a night owl. Luckily, I'm both. For example, right now, I'm blogging, and later, I'm gonna do my homework. Then, I'm most likely going to be writing down verses or something. I just can't stop writing once I get started!
Talking about night owls, I read an interesting article the other day on people that are "night owls" and "early birds" and how their brains function. I was looking through reddit (thanks to it always being alluded to in Rage Comics) and stumbled upon the article. It was about two neuroscientist from Alberta University that performed a series of experiments on 9 "night owls" and 9 "early birds" , trying to see if there was anything different with their brain activity. What they found was this: "We [the scientists] are suggesting that morning people may never reach their true maximum performance because their brain [activity] is going one way and their spinal cord activity is going the other, so it's offsetting," said Collins. "In evening people, both brain and spinal cord are at maximum in the evening and they get maximum performance at night."*
Kudos to all the "night owls" out there, doing homework past midnight, like a boss.
*here's the article for all you "early birds" that think I'm a liar :p
